GRAPEVINE, Texas, Oct. 15, 2021 – Corporate Floors and its family of brands announced today that they have joined the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) as Corporate Sustaining Partners (CSPs). IFMA CSPs serve as trusted advisers, subject-matter experts and change leaders for the facility management industry and are committed to the success of the professionals they work with day in and day out.
“We are very excited for all of our brands to join this elite group of companies partnering with IFMA, the world’s largest and most widely recognized association for facility management professionals,” said Thomas Holland, CEO of Corporate Floors. “We have been supporting IFMA since our founding in 1997, and we’re thrilled to be able to take our support to the next level.”
The Corporate Floors family of brands includes Corporate Floors, a commercial flooring contractor; APEX Surface Care, a specialty surface care company; APEX Property Services, a commercial building maintenance company; The Elevated Cab, a commercial elevator interior design company; Square Care, a data center/critical space cleaning company; and Whitman Global, a commercial floor care provider based in the Pacific Northwest.
Many members of the team at the Corporate Floors family of brands are active IFMA members. Holland is a past president of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter, and APEX Vice President of Strategic Accounts Erik Lind is the chapter’s current first vice president. APEX Senior Account Executive Kathy Edwards has served as the secretary and second vice president of the Houston chapter and currently runs the chapter's annual Hug-a-Bear Campaign in coordination with the Houston Police Department. In 2016, she was named the chapter’s Associate Member of the Year. Brenda Booth, also a senior account executive with APEX, is active with both the Austin and San Antonio chapters, serving on the Membership Committee for the San Antonio chapter and as co-chair of the Programs and Tours Committee for the Austin chapter. Booth was named the Austin chapter's Associate Member of the Year in 2018.
APEX is a proud sponsor of IFMA’s World Workplace 2021 Conference and Expo, coming up Oct. 26–28 in Kissimmee, Florida. Holland, board advisor for Women in Facility Management (WIFM), will be participating in a roundtable discussion at the conference titled “Timely Topics and Best Practices Among Women in FM.” A public benefit corporation and Certified B Corporation, Corporate Floors has made advancing opportunities for women in the facility management association part of the company’s social mission.
