Do you know educators and/or artists? Only one weekend left for ZeroLandfill.
There is only one weekend left to pick up donated materials at the 2014 ZeroLandfill event. This Saturday (Jan. 24th) from 9am-12pm at Corporate Floors in Grapevine, TX the warehouse will be open one last time for pick ups. Tell your friend, bring your truck and load it up! We have carpet, wall and glass samples along with hundreds of other knick knacks that may be useful.
Each year, dozens of educators, artists, project managers, designers and more benefit from the thousands of pounds of samples donated by the D/FW area architects and design firms. Many schools have no funding for their arts program and so teachers are able to pick up all types of craft ideas, binders, samples etc that they can use for their classes for free.
ZeroLandfill™ is an award winning upcycling program held seasonally that supports the supply needs of local artists and arts educators while reducing pressure on local landfill capacity. Since 2006, the ZeroLandfill™ project team has partnered with the architectural, interior and graphic design community in identifying, diverting from local landfills and re-purposing back into the community nearly 500,000 pounds of expired specification samples that hold value for other audiences.
